I’ve known Lyndi for years, so photographing her wedding wasn’t just another Saturday on my calendar. It was one of those days that felt significant long before it ever arrived.
If you’ve never heard Lyndi’s story, there was a time when her family wasn’t sure this day would happen. Years ago, she was on life support and her mom was preparing for the unimaginable. Watching her walk down the aisle at Soli Tree Farm this weekend felt like witnessing the kind of story that only God can write.
Their wedding was centered around faith from the very beginning. At the ceremony site stood a large wooden cross that served as more than just a backdrop. It was a reminder of the foundation Lyndi and Joseph are building their marriage on and the reason the day felt so meaningful to everyone who was there.
One of my favorite moments happened before the ceremony even began. The wind had been intense all day, which is not exactly every photographer’s dream. Before guests arrived, Lyndi’s mom walked over to the ceremony cross and prayed over their marriage, the ceremony, and yes, even the wind. Not long afterward, it calmed enough for the ceremony and portraits to unfold beautifully. Believe whatever you want about that, but standing there and watching it happen was something I’ll never forget.
The overall design of the day was what I would call western elegance. It felt refined without feeling formal and personal without feeling themed. Soli Tree Farm was the perfect setting for it. The open landscape, natural surroundings, and ceremony space all complemented the vision Lyndi and Joseph had for their wedding day.
What I loved most, though, was that none of the details felt like the point.
The flowers were beautiful. The venue was beautiful. The styling was beautiful.
But the focus was always the marriage.
That’s becoming increasingly rare in a world where weddings can sometimes feel more like productions than celebrations. Lyndi and Joseph never lost sight of what the day was actually about, and I think every person in attendance felt that.
As a Cincinnati wedding photographer, I photograph a lot of incredible weddings throughout Ohio and Kentucky. Every wedding has something memorable about it. Some have incredible venues. Some have unforgettable dance floors. Some have stunning design.
This one had perspective.
It reminded everyone in attendance that tomorrow isn’t promised and that some celebrations carry a little more weight because of everything it took to get there.
Lyndi and Joseph, thank you for trusting me to document such an important day. It was an honor to witness it and an even greater honor to tell the story.

Behind The Lens
Rooted in the Midwest and shaped by a refined, editorial eye, my perspective is guided by intention and ease. I believe in slowing down enough to notice the quiet gestures, the fleeting glances, the details that carry meaning — and capturing them in a way that feels timeless and artful. My approach is understated yet elevated, allowing you to feel fully present while I create imagery that reflects both the sophistication of your day and the warmth of your story. What I stand for is simple: photography that is as enduring as the moments themselves, crafted with care and quiet elegance.
